Woodbridge Dog Dumper Caught on Videotape

Do you know the identity of the man in the white truck who dumped four dogs in a parking lot in Woodbridge Tuesday night?


Animal activists and organizations are paying big money to find out the identity of the man who dumped four dogs in the parking lot on Markley Road in the Port Reading section of , and drove off while the dogs tried chasing the owner who dumped them. 

Video footage from a nearby building captured the man, allegedly one of two in a white pickup truck with a cap over the rear cargo area, opening the back of the vehicle and yanking a dog out of it.

That dog, a dark-colored pitbull, tried to run after the man after he drove off, but the dog appears to limp. That dog, the NJSPCA said on their Facebook page, had a broken leg, while another had severe bite wounds on its face.

The four dogs - all pitbulls or pitbull mixes - are at the , which is offering a $1,000 reward put up by the volunteers for the identity of the man in the white truck. The NJSPCA is matching that reward, for a total of $2,000 for information on the dog dumping.

"It's terrible," said Marge Petrow, the shelter's volunteer coordinator. "What kind of a person would do something like this?"

The NJSPCA said that the incident occurred sometime between 7:30 pm and 7:55 pm on Tuesday, June 5. They say that the truck had two individuals in it. The footage shows the man who pulled the dogs out of the back of the truck appeared to walk with a limp.
