Hazlet Pride: Bennett Jackson Goes Pro, Signed By the Giants

Locals are buzzing about the good news that Raritan High School graduate Bennett Jackson is coming home to play for the Giants.

Jackson, a cornerback who was a captain of the Notre Dame Football Team, was a sixth round NFL draft pick. Home base will now be the MetLife Stadium.

Around town, folks are proud to remember they saw him play on the HYAL Pop Warner team that went to nationals, and on the winning Raritan High School Football Team.

"He is such a great kid and phenomenal role model for all of our kids," said Karen Bachmann. Her kids, John and Willie, were the first to get the new Giant's signature when he was in town over the weekend.
