New Year's Day Greenway Walk in Holmdel

A memorable way to embrace nature on the first day of the New Year: a leisurely walk in snow boots, snow shoes or cross country skis through the snow blanketed through the Ramanessin Brook Conservation Area (the southernmost part of Holmdel Park) and Bayonet Farm (Township-owned farm and park).

Bring your camera!

Meet at Holmdel Park, 44 Longstreet Road, at the Shelter Building (lower parking lot) at 10 A.M.

Township Committeeman Larry Fink, who will bravely lead the 16th annual hike through the beautiful trails, sent a message of advice to participants by email.

"It looks like there will still be plenty of snow on the farm roads and trails, so wear snow/waterproof boots or bring snow shoes or cross-country skis if you have them.  Families and friends welcome! If you'd like, please bring a snack or dessert item to share after the hike.  You can carry it in your day pack.  Also, if you can, please bring a drinking cup/mug for your personal use (to cut down on use of paper cups) for beverages that will be available to all at end of the outing."
