Rain Garden is Focus of Casino Night Fundraiser

Holmdel Foundation for Educational Excellence is raising money for the outdoor classroom at Village Elementary.

The Holmdel Foundation for Educational Excellence invites you to attend Casino Night on Friday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m.

This year the newly developed Rain Garden at Village School will be the recipient of our fundraising. Village School students have been provided with an exciting and innovative outdoor science classroom, and can learn about rain water conservation. This garden was the brainchild of the Rutgers Cooperative Water Resources Program. We plan to purchasing classroom amenities.

Last year, the foundation raised an unprecedented $145,000 to bring the Sony Virtuoso all digital “World Language Lab” to the Holmdel Schools. In October 2010, the ribbon was cut and this state of the art classroom has become an integral part of our district’s language program. Foreign language teachers and students alike have given rave reviews to this unique and constructive learning opportunity.

The foundation has proudly raised well over $1.5 million dollars since its inception in 1996. The money has gone directly back to our students in the form of advanced learning tools and materials, innovative programs and improved equipment.

Please take the opportunity to join in a great philanthropic celebration by purchasing tickets to Casino Night.   All proceeds of the evening will be donated back to the school district for the most guaranteed bet of all – our children.

CASINO NIGHT DETAILS:

Held at Sterling Gardens, located on Route 79 in Matawan, the Casino Committee has created a casual evening where you can leave your black tie at home and kick up your dancing heels while trying your luck at roulette, craps and black jack to win exciting prizes.

A beautiful selection of baskets, a 50/50 drawing, and live auctions for “principal for a day” as well as for artwork featuring Village School students add to the excitement of the evening.

Tickets for this event are priced at $75 per person and attire is “casual chic.” You can pay by credit card or check by visiting HFEE.org.

In addition to the Casino Night fundraiser, there is also a unique opportunity to support our gift initiative by purchasing a personalized dedication plaque which will be displayed at the entrance to the Rain Garden.   For more information about the HFEE and donation opportunities, please visit our website at HFEE.ORG.
