Holmdel BOE to Speak About Marley Drink on Wednesday
The Board of Education meeting is on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
The following letter was sent to Holmdel parents from Superintendent Barbara Duncan:
Dear Parents:
You are invited to the Jan. 30, 2013, meeting of the Board of Education to hear a summative report on Chartwells' and the District's investigation into the Marleys Drink incident that occurred at the Satz School on Nov. 30, 2012. An overview of the entire incident will be presented. Also, there will be a review of safeguards that have been enacted to prevent a reoccurrence of any further violations of our food and beverage selection and approval process.
The report will be posted on the District Website in the Budget and Finance notes as well as the Superintendent's Report.
Please note: Any student who did not report to the school nurse and whose health was affected by the Marleys Drink, please contact the school principal as soon as possible so that Chartwells can be notified for restitution of medical expenses.
Thank you,
Barbara Duncan
Superintendent of Schools
