Union Beach Man Indicted on Receiving Stolen Property Charge

A Monmouth County grand jury handed up the indictment Tuesday.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Union Beach man on a charge he received property in Hazlet he knew or understood to be stolen.

Police say Matthew Espinal, 22, was in possession of stolen jewelry valued in excess of $500 on Sept. 22, 2012.

An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury voted there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.
