Ralph Zucker Speaks On Redeveloping Office Parks

Zucker described the Bell Labs multi-use redevelopment project in Holmdel as a panelist at the New Jersey Future Redevelopment Forum 2014.

At the New Jersey Future Redevelopment Forum in New Brunswick earlier this month, Somerset Development President Ralph Zucker was asked to offer his experience on giving new life to the state's empty office parks and malls.

Zucker described how he worked with Holmdel to present a new plan to eventually transform the vacant 473-acre former Bell Labs property in Holmdel into a mixed use development that generates tax revenues and that preserves the huge iconic glass building, according to this article by NJ Spotlight.

Zucker is quoted in the article as saying the 225 mostly age-restricted homes included in the plan will allow the project to qualify for tax incentives under the Economic Opportunity Act of 2013 (EO13), and that sales of the houses are anticipated to begin in late spring.
