Holmdel Approves Plan for 185 Age-Restricted Homes at Former Bell Labs

Toll Brothers sought approval for 185 age-restricted homes.

The Holmdel Planning Board gave unanimous preliminary and final site plan approval to Toll Brothers to build 185 age-restricted townhouses to be built at the former Bell Labs corporate campus on Crawfords Corner Road.

The site is on an approximately 134-acre portion of the 473-acre tract located to the south side of Crawfords Corner Road and the east side of Roberts Road and Middletown Road.

The development will be constructed in two phases. To begin, 108 new age-restricted carriage homes, a clubhouse and recreational facilities, infiltration basin and a wet pond will be built on 65 acres of the east side of the existing campus driveway.

In the second part, 77 new age-restricted homes and two infiltration basins will be constructed on 70 acres.

The homes are the second housing component to be approved on the site. The Planning Board has also approved the construction of 40 luxury homes in a section near Roberts Road.
