Union Beach Man Charged with Cocaine, Heroin Offenses

A Union Beach man is being held at the county jail on $200,000 bail, following allegations that he was intending to distribute illegal drugs near public parks in  Keyport and Union Beach. 

Police charge John J. Sansone, 35, of Fifth Street with being in possession of both cocaine and heroin on June 30, that he was in possession within 500 feet of the Scholer public park, and that he was intending to distribute the illegal drugs.

Sansone is also charged with being in possession of heroin in Keyport on the same day, and that he had intention to distribute it within 500 feet of the Henry Hudson Trail. 

Sansone's first appearance before a Superior Court Judge will be July 7 for the charges that allegedly occurred in Keyport, and July 17 for those in Union Beach. 


An arrest is not a conviction.
