Three Indicted on Drug Charges for Hazlet Incident

Daniel Margarito, of Keansburg, Jessica N. Franco, of Lakewood, and Shelby E. Bufania, of Wall, were indicted on drug related charges following a incident on Oct. 6 in Hazlet, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office.

According to the prosecutor’s office, Margarito was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a CDS with intent to distribute and distribution of a CDS after he was allegedly found on Oct. 6 with a substance believed to be heroin and after he was found allegedly “distributing” the substance to Bufania and Franco.

Margarito also was indicted with possession and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a school because the incident occurred near the Bay-Tel Academy school, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Bufania and Franco were each charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance following the incident.
