Three-Car Accident at Route 34 and Schank Road Around Noon Tuesday
Traffic light knocked out.
A three-car accident at Route 34 and Schank Road sent two drivers to Bayshore Community Hospital with minor injuries on March 8, according to police.
A utility box that controls a traffic light was knocked out. The light will not be operational until later in the evening, according to the State Highway Department. Highway traffic will be unaffected, but those wishing to cross Highway 34 from Schanck Road will be only allowed to make right turns.
Officers involved were Ptl. Michael Moore, Ptl. William Bernard, and Ptl. Jake Savage, Ptl. James Archinaco.
