Police: Stolen Firearm Leads to Arrest

Russell Hinton, 45 of Delanco was charged with the alleged theft of the handgun.

A Burlington County man was arrested in Holmdel last week for allegedly stealing a 40 caliber handgun.

Russell Hinton, 45 of Delanco was charged with the alleged theft of the handgun, valued at over $500, which is a third degree crime.

According to police arrest records, Hinton was found to be in possession of the handgun, which was registered as stolen in the N.C.I.S database.

The record indicated Hinton has been arrested elsewhere in the state and charged with burglary, allegedly with the stolen handgun.

Hinton was arrested and transported to the Monmouth County Jail in lieu of a $75,100 bail.
