Gum Fugitive Found Almost A Year After $2K Chewing Theft, Police Say

Two Bernardsville men allegedly stole over $2,000 worth of chewing gum from Pathmark in Hazlet.

Maybe he was trying to break the record for the world's biggest bubble?

Hazlet Police recently tracked down Timothy Moran, 26, of Bernardsville after he allegedly stole $2,000 worth of chewing gum from the Hazlet Pathmark in 2012, according to Police Chief James Broderick.

Moran was arrested in July by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to county records, Moran wasn't alone. Together, he and Brian Moore, 26, also of Bernardsville allegedly conspired to steal $2150.26 worth of assorted varieties of gum.

Wonder what they'd do for a Klondike Bar.
