Copper Pipes Stolen from Construction Site in Holmdel

DWI stops and state warrants round out the police blotter from Feb. 11 to Feb. 18.

The following arrest information was provided by the Holmdel Police Department.

Donna Brown, 30 of Keansburg was arrested on Feb. 16 on an outstanding warrant from 2012 and charged for allegedly buying merchandise at Kohls in Holmdel with a fraudulent credit card on October.

Stolen copper piping and construction material was reported from a home under construction on Georjean Drive. Stolen materials are valued at $3,000, including an air compressor and tools.

Gregory Alvarez, 48 of Aberdeen was arrested after a motor vehicle stop for an outstanding non-support warrant. Alvarez allegedly owed $77,000 in child support. Alvarez was turned over to the Monmouth County Sheriff's Department and held in Monmouth County Jail on $77,000 bail.

The Holmdel Police Department and fire companies responded to an odor of gas on Windswept Road. The department said a landscaper was attempting to straighten a tree with stakes in the ground when a gas main was ruptured. No injuries were reported and the main was fixed by a responding gas company.

Erin Baker, 23 of Bradley Beach was arrested on Feb. 15 on Route 35 for allegedly driving under the influence. Baker was processed and released with a court date.

Joseph Bastawros, 23 of Marlboro was arrested on Feb. 15 on Holmdel Road for allegedly driving under the influence. Bastawros was also charged with a motor vehicle violation during the stop.
