Monmouth County FEMA Disaster Recovery Center Opens

The county's sole Disaster Recovery Center Sept. 10-11 in Leonardo.

FEMA has officially announced the opening of the Monmouth County Disaster Recovery Center at the Henry Hudson Trail Activity Center, 945 Hwy 36, Atlantic Highlands (Leonardo), NJ 07737.

At this time there is only one center scheduled to open in the County.

The "soft" opening will be Saturday, September 10th from 12:00 noon until 6:00pm. The "hard" opening will be Sunday, September 11th, 8:00am until 6:00pm.

Hours of operation will be 8:00am until 6:00pm, 7 days per week.

A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is a readily accessible facility or mobile office where applicants may go for information about FEMA or other disaster assistance programs, or for questions related to your case.

Some of the services that a DRC may provide:

  • Guidance regarding disaster recovery
  • Clarification of any written correspondence received
  • Housing Assistance and Rental Resource information
  • Answers to questions, resolution to problems and referrals to agencies that may provide further assistance
  • Status of applications being processed by FEMA.
  • SBA program information if there is a SBA Representative at the Disaster Recovery Center site.
