Book Bites Adult Book Club

The book club will be reading Half Broke Horses: A True Life Novel by Jeannette Walls. Copies are available at the library's circulation desk. 

Jeannette Walls recounts the intriguing life of her own grandmother, Lily Casey Smith (told in first-person narrative, from Lily's point of view). "Half-Broke Horses" follows Lily through her childhood, youth and adults years, as she learns to break horses, dance, teach school, drive a car, run a cattle ranch and even fly an airplane.  Lily lived through tornadoes and tragedies, floods and droughts.  She fought back against bigotry and biases with her spirited determination.
