Holmdel Police: Burglars Disabled Home Alarm

A Barbera Drive home was struck by burglars Saturday.

Burglars broke into a Barbera Drive home, disabled the home alarm, and made off with jewelry and cash, according to Holmdel police.

The Holmdel Police Department triggered the township’s phone notification system seeking information on the Saturday burglary.

“On Saturday, Sept. 22 between the hours of 4 p.m. and 9:45 pm., a burglary occurred in a residence on Barbera Drive. Unknown suspects forced entry into the house and took jewelry and cash,” the phone message stated.

The residents were not home at the time of the burglary, according to police.

“The residence was alarmed however it appears the actors disabled the alarm system upon entering the home,” the police message stated.
