We're Now the Holmdel-Hazlet Patch

Welcome to Patch, Hazlet! You're now officially part of our Patch family.

Notice anything different at the top of the site? We hope so - and we hope you’re as excited about it as we are!

As of today, we are officially expanding our coverage area to include Hazlet Township. We welcome all of Hazlet's 22,000 residents, and their 800 dogs. (Sorry, township officials can't be sure how many cats are in town.)

You may have noticed we've already been reporting on events in town. In recent days on Holmdel Patch, you would have found stories about the , the new on Bethany Road at Hazlet Avenue, and the Chevy in the Holmdel/Hazlet Garden Park trailer park cul-de-sac, at the railroad tracks. But going forward we’ll now be featuring even more Hazlet news, information and local business listings. Because so many of our users live, work and shop in Holmdel and Hazlet, it was just good common sense to build on our existing coverage area.

Blog on Patch

Patch blogs give anyone from gardening enthusiasts to community leaders to local business owners the power to easily share ideas, expertise, questions, or even just a cool photo with the whole neighborhood. Chances are you know something, saw something or think something about this community that your neighbors would love to hear or see. And you don't have to write the phone book or know the difference between a dangling modifier and a split infinitive. Long, short or totally casual — it's all good. So speak up!

Announcements

Our Announcements section is free and easy to use. If someone you know achieved a great accomplishment, made honor roll, received a school award or something of this sort, this tool is a perfect way to share that with the community. All you have to do is go to holmdel.patch.com, scroll the mouse over the word news, click announcements, click "Add an Announcement" on the top right and fill out the form and submit. You can even add photos to these announcements if you like. (You must be logged-in as a Patch user to submit this information.)

Events

This is a great way to publicize events and happenings in Hazlet. Our calendar is a community resource built by members in Holmdel and Hazlet. To add an event to our calendar, all you have to do is go to holmdel.patch.com, click on the word "Events" in the navigation bar, click "Add an Event" on the top right and fill out the form and submit. With this form, you are also encouraged to upload photos or PDF versions of a flyer advertising the event. (Must be logged-in as a Patch user to submit this information).

Send a Letter to the Editor

Let us know what you think. There may be topics we haven't been able to cover yet, so what better way to get the conversation going than with a Letter to the Editor?
