Holmdel High School Javelin Throwers Shock Spectators at the Meet of Champions

Holmdel High Schoolers give their all at the Meet of Champions.

Earlier today, Holmdel High School senior Eric Williams and junior Travis Closs swept away the competition at the New Jersey State Meet of Champions. Eric, breaking the school record he previously set at groups, threw a whopping 195' 9", earning second place. Travis, throwing a personal best of 181' 5", just misses the finals, but earning a fantastic 10th place overall. Holmdel High School has had one of the best javelin seasons to date, as they have never had consecutive 1st and 2nd place Groups winners, along with two people going and placeing very well at the Meet of Champions. Stay strong Hornets!
