Five New Businesses Open Doors in Keyport
KBBC members joined with business owners and local officials at five different locations throughout the day for ribbon cuttings and events for each business.
The Keyport Bayfront Business Cooperative welcomed five news businesses to town on Dec. 17, 2013. KBBC members joined with business owners and local officials at five different locations throughout the day for ribbon cuttings and events for each business. Mayor Harry M. Aumack also joined the ceremonies, along with Keyport council members.
New businesses:
- Tip Top Nails, 100 Rte. 36
- Rent-A-Center, 100 Rte. 36
- Belly’s Chicken, 214 Broad Street
- Los Corrales Mexican Restaurant, 204 Broad Street
- Fabulous Finds, 5 West Front St.
Locally owned stores are a greater contributor to the local economy than national chains, according to a study conducted by the Institute for Local Self-Reliance.

The Keyport Bayfront Business Cooperative is the managing entity of the Keyport Business Improvement District, created by ordinance of the Borough of Keyport. It is run by an elected Board of Directors, comprised of business operators, property owners, representatives of the Borough of Keyport including Mayor and Council members, Borough committee representative, and resident representative.
