St. Benedict To Present “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” This Weekend

The school's drama club rehearsed the musical at Holmdel High School on Thursday.

This weekend the St. Benedict Drama Club will present three performances of “Alice in Wonderland Jr" at Holmdel High School.

Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for kids and seniors.

The classic story is about a girl named Alice who is bored with her humdrum life and dreams she falls down a rabbit hole into Wonderland. There she meets animals and flowers and cards that come to life on her adventure.

The cast of characters includes over 80 children on and off-stage.  Olivia Howell, a seventh grader, is Alice. Other supporting cast members are Kaleigh Remick as the White Rabbit, Paige McCloskey, Amanda Spina, and Kaitlyn Holtz as Cheshire Cats, Nick Hunt as the Mad Hatter, Michael Hickman as the March Hare, Emily Rogan as the Queen of Hearts, and a chorus/dance ensemble comprised of over 50 students. 

The show is produced by Cathy Rogan. The assistant producer is Lang Holtz. It is directed by Jeannine Treglia. Ellen Remick as musical director, Maria Wintjen is assistant musical director, Sue Maturo is choreographer and Jeannie DeSilvestri is assistant choreographer.
