Saturday: Turning Point Raises Funds for Pediatric Brain Cancer

Donate $20 or more to the Kortney Rose Foundation and get a free entree on your next visit.

When you order at any of the five locations this Friday or Saturday, an extra side of compassion can score you a free entree on your next breakfast, lunch or brunch.

All five Turning Point locations in Little Silver, Holmdel, Long Branch, Manalapan, Westfield and Hoboken are hosting a special fundraiser event on Oct. 28 and 29 to benefit the Kortney Rose Foundation, which raises money and awareness for pediatric brain cancer.

Anyone who makes a donation of $20 or more to the foundation will receive a gift card redeemable for a free entree on their next visit.

"Much thanks goes to Pam and Kirk Ruoff, owners of the Turning Point restaurants and to Donna Kleiner, manager of the Long Branch location," said organizer Kristen Gillette on the foundation's website.

She also thanked the local chain's store managers and employees, who she said helped raise over $15,000 at last year's event.
