Township Moves Toward Leasing Space at Town Hall
Procedural step taken at March 22 meeting.
The Township Committee voted 4-0 to authorize the township administrator to prepare a formal lease bid for the space at Town Hall formerly occupied by the Board of Education.
The governing body also voted by resolution to put the township-owned distribution liquor license out to bid. Although it has always been for sale, the resolution was necessary to market it again, officials said. The asking price has been lowered to $300,000 from $350,000 for the license. Prospective bidders must prequalify. The bids will be unsealed on May 7.
An ordinance authorizing the lease of the Holmdel Tennis Club will have final vote and a public hearing on April 5.
