St. Patrick's Day Events in Northern Monmouth

Get your Irish on! Here are some ways people are celebrating St. Patrick's Day

Freehold

  • March 16: Enjoy the sounds of bagpipers in Downtown Freehold on Friday night from 7-9 p.m.
  • March 17: There will be a Parade starting at 11:00 a.m. The route starts behind borough hall and heads down Main St. Everyone is welcome to get dressed up and participate in this family fun event. Continue celebrating the holiday with specials at all the Downtown Freehold restaurants and bars.
  • March 17: The Freehold Borough Arts Council, the and the Freehold Ancient Order of Hibernians are hosting a free family event in honor of St. Patty's Day. There will be two showings of the Oscar nominated animated feature, the Secret of Kells starting at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Center Players on South Street. Seating is limited, so reservations are required. Contact the Freehold Borough Arts

Matawan

  • March 16: Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Washington Engine Company. They will host the on Friday. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. at the intersection of Spring Street and Jackson Street and will continue one block to the intersection of Church Street and Jackson Street. Corned Beef will be served at Washington Engine Company on Jackson Street after. Donations are welcome and marchers are welcome. To march, call Bob Ziegler at 732-620-5651.

Englishtown

  • March 17: The John F. Carroll Columbian Club of the Knights of Columbus in Englishtown are having a St. Patrick's Day Party on Saturday, March 17. Enjoy corn beef and cabbage with all the trimmings (platter - $9.99, sandwich - $7.99) and traditional Irish music. Serving will begin at 11 a.m. and end when the food runs out - so plan on coming early! The Knights of Columbus is located at 3 LaSatta Avenue in Englishtown.

Keyport

  • March 24 at 1  p.m., Keyport's 7th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. Beginning at St. Joseph's Church on Maple Place, the parade will move over West Fourth Street and continue on Maple Place and then it will head down to West Front Street and end at Fireman's Park.

Red Bank

  • March 25 at 4 p.m., classic Irish singer Ronan Tynan at the . Tickets: $55, $39.50, $25, $19.50.

Keansburg

  • March 31 at 1 p.m., St. Patrick's Day Parade. Parade Route: Beachway to Main Street, Main Street to Church Street; Church Street to Carr Avenue
