Save the Date for a Turkey Dinner, in Holmdel

Holmdel Community Church will hold its annual Turkey Dinner benefit on Saturday, March 10 in Fellowship Hall.

 

What do 400 pounds of turkey, 250 pounds of potatoes, 4 crates of green beans and 76 pies make? A traditional turkey dinner for several hundred hungry guests.

The , 40 W. Main Street (Route 520) in Holmdel, will hold its annual home-style Turkey Dinner benefit on Saturday, March 10. Guests can choose one of 4 seating times or order a take out meal to enjoy at home. The event is open to all.

Money raised goes to local charities.

Last year, in just four hours, the Holmdel Church raised $6,000. The money was earmarked for the Emergency Assistance Fund (EAF) of the Community Outreach Group of Middletown, Inc. The EAF helps families facing unexpected heating, medical or housing expenses. Proceeds from this event will be used for outreach efforts in Asbury Park.

Roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green beans, and Don Pope's famous cole slaw will be served family style in Fellowship Hall.  A team of dedicated church chefs prepare everything fresh from scratch. Dessert finishes the meal with a selection of home-made pies, cakes, cookies, brownies and fresh brewed coffee or tea.

Dinner seatings are at 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 p.m. Tickets cost $15.00 for adults and $8.00 for children under 12. Take-out meals are also available for $15.00.
