Congestion at the Laurel Avenue jughandle on Route 36 may become a thing of the past, now that a redesign is on the table at the NJ Department of Transportation.
According to Hazlet Police, the Township Committee and the department have been working with Senator Joe Kyrillos to get the project done.
This week, the township received word that the plan is in the final stages of traffic signal operation redesign, changes the township hopes will alleviate traffic in the area, including on overflow streets.
