Reflections of 9/11: Justice, Mercy & Hope

Lincroft Presbyterian Church to host commemorative service.

The Lincroft Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of West Front Street and Everett Road, in Lincroft, will offer a Service of Remembrance and Hope on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. to honor those lost in the attacks of September 11, 2001.

“Although it is a decade since 9/11, we view the service not only as an opportunity to mourn those lives lost but also look to the future and the message of justice, mercy and hope that comes from a community gathering together for a common purpose,” says Pastor Brian Croak in a prepared statement.

The service will include lighting 37 candles to honor each of the Middletown residents who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Guest speakers who worked in lower Manhattan at the time will share their stories.
