Holmdel Native's Work on College Show Recognized Nationally

Ponisi's work with the Radio/TV/Film department of Rowan University and its corresponding television network was nominated for Best Comedy.

Holmdel's own Joe Ponisi is among five Rowan University students nominated for the national Student Production Awards Competition presented by College Broadcasters Incorporated.

Ponisi's work with the Radio/TV/Film department of Rowan and its corresponding television network was nominated for Best Comedy, for a series production entitled Rowan 911! 

Winners of the 2013 CBI Student Production Awards will be announced on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the organization’s annual convention in San Antonio.

“Rowan 911!” was produced by juniors Josh Hersch and Ponisi, who serves as the club’s media manager. Hersch also directed the episode.

Ponisi is the son and namesake of Holmdel Township Committeeman Joe Ponisi Sr.
