An adolescent psychologist, a middle school guidance counselor, a librarian and a police officer are scheduled to talk about ways to recognize and prevent bullying -- in all of its aspects. A clip from the PG-13 movie "Mean Girls" will be shown and discussed. The speakers will take questions. Younger children will have the opportunity to do crafts during the talks.
The 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. event will be held at Christ Church's Undercroft in Middletown, 90 Kings Highway. The event is free.
Girl Scout Ambassador Samantha Rossnagel of Middletown, who is also a Holmdel Police Explorer, has organized the event as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award. She is trying to bring awareness to modern day bullying. All ages are invited to come.
