Two Day Event to Support the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Hi.  My name is Anna "Anki" Prachar and I am an 11 year breast cancer survivor. My husband Alan and I  are very active in raising money for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC). In 2003 we formed a fundraising team called Anki's Yankees and began participating in the annual October Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Point Pleasant.

Since forming Anki's Yankees we have raised over $25,000 for MSABC and we want this year to be our biggest fundraising year yet! The annual MSABC WALK will take place in Point Pleasant on October 20th and Anki's Yankees will once again participate in the walk.

We also want to hold a 2-DAY EVENT at our Peachwave Self Serve Frozen Yogurt Shoppe in the Kohl's Plaza Shopping Center, Holmdel (across from Dearborn Farms) on Oct 12th and 13th.  Anyone buying frozen yogurt wearing a pink ribbon or pink anything, for that matter, or if they simply tell the cashier that they are there to support breast cancer, will have 20% of their sale donated to Making Strides on behalf of Anki's Yankees!

Our primary means of raising money for MSABC before we had our store was offering a 7-night stay at our vacation condo in Kissimmee Fl (3 1/2 miles from Disney World) as a DOOR PRIZE for anyone donating $25.00 to our American Cancer Society webpage and we still plan to offer that as well.  For each $25.00 donation to:
          http://main.acsevents.org/goto/anki
your name will be entered into a drawing for a 7-night stay at our vacation condo in Kissimmee, Fl., which is located 3 1/2 miles from the Disney World entrance.  Donate $50.00 and you get TWO entries in the drawing etc.!  The deal we have always had with our supporters is that if we beat the prior year's total ($4,540.00), we will draw TWO winners for 7-night stays. The cost of getting there is your expense but the accommodations are on us!
Please help us by either donating on the website OR coming into Peachwave October 12th and 13th!

Breast cancer can be eliminated in our lifetime and we can all take pride in the fact that we did SOMETHING to make that happen!
