Holmdel and Vonage Host 6th Grade Hangout

105 students had a great time playing ping pong, pool, video games and more.

The sound of laughter spilling out onto Holmdel Road Friday night was coming straight from the "6th Grade Hangout" at Vonage. It was a big turnout with 105 students attending where they had a great time playing ping pong, pool, video games and more.
Vonage partnered with the Township in hosting this wonderful event. The Township Committee along with the Holmdel Recreation Dept worked together with Vonage as part of their ongoing effort to build a better community. Eric Hinds was thrilled to see his vision come to life in the smiling 6th grade faces exiting the event asking, "Can we do this again?" He was polling the kids as they left and it was "thumbs up" from the kids AND the parents. He said "This is part of the plan of making this a front yard town with the Community working together for the benefit of all; our businesses & our residents."
The Township would like to thank Vonage for their generosity in providing the fantastic game room, snacks & drinks for this event. Thanks also goes out to Recreation Director Bob Ward for his part in planning this event and his team who helped chaperone.
Let's start planning the next one!
