ReplyTwo issues.
One: .08.. is .. how many drinks / hour? Anyone? Kids today know the answer... based on body weight... right? how about adults?
If you plan to keep it at .08, then EVERYONE goes back to driving school, every 10 years.. no matter what. Full behind the wheel testing. Full written test.
The second issue is that people think "some" is good, when "none" is the answer. No one should be behind the wheel being less than 100%. The .08 leads a lot of people to think "some is ok".
Yes, this goes for all forms of distracted driving too.
If two people are holding guns, and one is drinking. I don't want that gun owner near me at all. Would you? Is it "safe"? How much is "unsafe"?

ReplyI don't get it.. if they knew they were closing.. or headed near that.. why would they spend money to expand the place by setting up and outdoor dining area?

And, I can remember back when *I* was a kid... having bomb threats called into school.. particularly near the end of the year... and that was waaaaay back in 1984..
Nothing new, the people (ahem, kids..) who are doing this will get tagged.

ReplyFunny, I also saw the weasel words at the bottom of the BMW ad.. Today, I was happy to roll down the back window of my Audi and let my 5 year old hang his hand into the wind as we drove.
All I could think about were all the worried BMW drivers with their windows rolled up and the A/C on on.... a beautiful spring 83 degree friday afternoon on the way home from getting a milkshake form the local Sonic.
I'm all for belting kids in.. but letting windows down, air into the car.. hands moving in the wind.. its magical...
