Viewfinder: Benefit for "Pop" Cittadino Raises $5,200

The Matawan Italian American Association and other volunteers raised $5,200 for Steve "Pop" Cittadino at their all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs benefit on Feb. 5, said club president Frank Giammarino. A check will be presented to the longtime wrestling and Pop Warner coach at the club's next meeting on Feb. 28. Cittadino lost his home and four dogs in a fire on Thanksgiving Day. The volunteers served 258 dinners and sold 275 tickets to the fundraiser, held on an icy, rainy Saturday at the Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church.
