Scissors Snip in Holmdel for 'Locks for Love'
Holmdel Village School students and teachers offer their healthy hair for cancer survivors. Story contributed by coordinator Allison Seman.
Eleven teachers and students at the Holmdel Village School Elementary School donated their hair for Locks of Love, the non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to children with hair loss. The event on June 8 was coordinated by Village school teachers Sandi Klinger and Allison Seman. The teachers involved in the event all have a personal connection to cancer and all wanted to help children in need; and they felt that this is something they could do to help. Mrs. Klinger has a nephew and a cousin who are battling cancer and Mrs. Seman herself is a cancer survivor. The teachers who donated their hair each have a personal connection to cancer too.
