More Than 800 Attend Holmdel Earth Day 2012
The home-grown celebration of Mother Nature brought Holmdel volunteers and community together to Bayonet Farm on Sunday, April 29.
A beautifully sunny and breezy day added to the enjoyment of the 14th annual Earth Day at Holmdel's Bayonet Farm. According to organizers, at least 800 people attended the fair, which could be a new record. The co-chairs of the festival were Holmdel residents Carol Beckenstein and Regina Criscione. Numerous stands demonstrated ways people can better care for the earth. Ecology, conservation and celebration were the buzz words. The Red Barn was the site of snacks and drinks. Directly outside of it, fair goers circled around presentations by Arcadia Parrot Rescues, Clean Ocean Action, and Rizzo's Reptile Discovery.
