Keyport Man Sentenced to 34 Years in Prison for Sexually Assaulting a Child

He was also sentenced for photographing one of the assaults on his cell phone camera, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Officel.

A Keyport man was sentenced to serve 34 years in state prison today by Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Francis Vernoia, according to Acting Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni. The sentence requires that Shane Simpson, 24, serve 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole. On April 5, a Monmouth County jury convicted Simpson on one count of first degree aggravated sexual assault, three counts of second degree sexual assault, one count of second degree endangering the welfare of the a child by sexual conduct, one count of second degree endangering the welfare of a child by causing a child to engage in child pornography, and one count of fourth degree endangering the welfare of a child by possession of child pornography…

Man Charged With Sexual Assault of a Holmdel Girl

The man is being currently being held in the Monmouth County Jail on $150,000 bail.

Holmdel Police have arrested a 26-year old Swedesboro man on charges he engaged in sexual intercourse with a 14-year old Holmdel township girl on at least two occasions this summer.  Damon A. Wilson was arrested at his Shady Brook Lane residence on Thursday and charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.  According to information released by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, the alleged offenses occurred at a residence in Holmdel in June, and at the Holiday Inn Express in West Long Branch in August.  Probable cause was determined through a law enforcement investigation.  Wilson is being held at the Monmouth County Jail in Freehold on $150,000 bail with no ten percent option, set by…

Mater Dei Prep Teacher Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison for Sexual Assault of Former Student

William Miltner, 29, of Middletown will serve time at New Jersey State Prison

Monmouth County Superior Court Judge John T. Mullaney sentenced William Miltner, 29, of Middletown to four years in state prison for sexual assault of a high school student. Miltner, of Acker Drive in Middletown, was a former teacher and dean at Mater Dei Prep in New Monmouth, where the student was enrolled. The offenses occured between March and September 2009.  As part of his sentence, Miltner will be subject to parole supervision for life, as well as the sex offender registration and notification requirements of Megan’s law. Miltner was also required to permanently give up his New Jersey Teacher’s License as a condition of the negotiated plea in this case. Miltner was indicted and pled guilty before Judge Mullaney on January 19, 2012.  …

Matawan Police Charge Hazlet Man with Sex Assault of Boy, 15

The charges accuse the man of sexually assaulting the 15-year-old on several occasions

The Matawan Borough Police Department have charged a Hazlet man with sexually assaulting a teenager on several occassions over the last year, according to Lt. Ben Smith. Robert Schwarz, 45, is accused of sexual assault and sexual penetration of a 15-year-old male between July 2011 and May 2012. He was charged with second degree aggravated sexual assault and third degree endangering the welfare of a child on Saturday, May 26. The victim's father reported the situation to police, according to Smith. Schwarz knew the family but is not a relative, Smith said. In July 2006, Schwarz was convicted on charges he committed a sexual offense and aggravated assault. Schwarz was committed to Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Bail was set at $…

Hazlet Man Charged With Aggravated Sexual Assault

A Hazlet man has been arrested and charged with committing aggravated sexual assault on a woman in Middletown. Middletown Police Detective Kelly Godley arrested James C. Bryer, of 15 Limerick Place, Hazlet, on Tuesday. Bryer was charged with aggravated sexual assault based on an incident that allegedly occurred on or about Feb. 25 during which Bryer allegedly witnessed the victim consume a large dose of Xanax, “rendering her incapacitated,” the complaint warrant said. He then allegedly committed the aggravated sexual assault on her, which constitutes penetration, knowing her physically and mentally incapacitated state, the complaint added. Former Mater Dei Dean, Teacher Pleaded Guilty to Sexual Assault

Plea deal struck with Prosecutor's Office calls for five-year prison sentence

A former Mater Dei Prep High School dean has pleaded guilty to sexual assault charges leveled at him by Middletown police in April of 2011 and now faces five years in prison. The recommended sentence came with a plea agreement that was struck between the defendant, 29-year-old William Miltner, of Acker Drive, Middletown, and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. The plea was “entered before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge John T. Mullaney, Jr.,” a released statement from the Prosecutor’s Office said. A former dean, teacher and soccer coach at Mater Dei, Miltner is due to appear before the judge for official sentencing on April 20, 2012.
