Holmdel Police Blotter: Nov. 4-17

Reports alleging shoplifting, marijuana possession, and theft of cash for Hurricane Sandy victims.

The following information was released by the Holmdel Police Dept. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.  Nov. 4: Anthony O. Alessi Jr., 36, of Region Drive in Hazlet was charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and operating a car in possession of drugs. Ptl. Michael Moore said he witnessed Alessi allegedly engaged in some kind of transaction in the Orchards Development around 6 p.m. After he pulled Alessi over for three motor vehicle violations, he said Alessi admitted to having a grinder and "one-hitter," both pieces of drug paraphernalia associated with marijuana. When he stood up to exit the car, $840 in cash fell from his lap and blew under his car, which he was allowed to retrieve. Alessi consented to a search, …

Police Blotter: Armed Robbery Arrest

The following is an update from the Holmdel Township Police Department.

On Saturday, July 28, 2012, the Rahway Police Department arrested James J. Bixler, 34 of Rahway, on an outstanding Holmdel warrant for the armed robbery of a Patsy’s Cab Service driver on May 21, 2012.   Bixler was transported to the Holmdel Township Police Department by Detective/Sgt. Jeffrey Ackerson and Ptl. Matthew Menosky, where he was processed.   Bixler was charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Theft.  Bail was set at $122,500.00, and Bixler was lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institute.   Bixler was also charged with the armed robbery of a cab driver in Edison, NJ. Holmdel Police Blotter: Arrest Follows Hit and Run Accident in Holmdel Village

Police charge a Middletown man with DUI.

This information was released by Holmdel Police on July 19. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.  July 10: A 1993 Quality Electric truck parked on Plum Lane was reportedly burglarized sometime in the week prior to July 10.  Employees said two vent windows on the roof were broken out and the storage drawers in the cargo area were rummaged through. It was unknown if anything was taken at this time. The value of the damage is estimated at $300. July 13: A Middletown man was arrested and charged for driving under the influence following a hit and run accident on Friday, July 13 at 12:53 p.m. According to police, a vehicle traveling east on Route 520 was stopped in traffic and subsequently hit from behind by a blue Lexus SUV driven by …

Hazlet Police Blotter: License Plates Stolen Off Car at Train Station

The following information was released by the Hazlet Police on July 17. July 15: A summons was issued to Ashok M. Kumar of Morganville for careless driving after he drove his 2007 BMW into the side of the Hazlet Professional Court on Sunday, located at 80 Hazlet Ave. Police said Kumar had been helping his wife, a doctor, paint the office on Sunday in preparation for a grand opening. His wife was a passenger in the car when he hit the gas instead of the brake, police said, causing damage to her office.  July 15: Police received a report around 4 p.m. Sunday that an electric Terminator Scooter, valued at $200, was stolen off a front yard on Beers Street between Rosemary and Rutgers streets. Holmdel Police Blotter: March 31-April 2

The following arrest information was supplied by the Holmdel Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Within the past two weeks: Holmdel Police are investigating a theft of the prescription medications Xanax and Vicodin from a residence on Crape Myrtle Dr., off Holmdel Road. March 31: Brian Taylor, 35, of Cliffwood Ave. in Eatontown was stopped by Ptl. Jake Savage for a motor violation. A computer check revealed that Taylor had 2 active warrants, the first out of Howell for $2,500, and Eatontown for $1400. Taylor was issued a summons for Driving While Suspended and released on bail. April 1: Jenny A. Davis, 29 and Scott A. Rackliff, 33, of Indian River Road in Jonesport, Maine were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and other offenses related to an incident at 721 North Beers St., near Bayshore Community Hospital. Arrest records released by the Holmdel Police Dept. on Dec. 22, 2011. Dec. 6:  Anthony Dellapietro, 53, of Keansburg NJ was arrested and charged with DWI as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Holmdel Road. Dellapietro was transported to HQ for processing and released pending court. Dec. 14: Ptl. Michael Moore arrested Alex Miu, 22, Astoria NY and Jeremy Browne, 20, Red bank NJ for Possession of CDS (suspected Marijuana) and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to HQ for processing and released pending court. During the week officers made 6 warrant arrests and 2 arrests for Driving While Suspended.
