Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue (CODAR) is an Aberdeen-based, non-profit canine rescue group that takes in dogs from high-kill shelters and puppy mills along the east coast and works to find them any necessary medical attention, foster care and a forever home. Maverick, a five-year-old Chow mix, is a big, cuddly dog in search of his forever home. House-trained and trained not to chew anything but his toys, Maverick enjoys running in the yard and snuggling up to his favorite people. Watch the YouTube video above and you will see that Maverick has a kind and playful demeanor. He also knows basic commands like sit, stay and paw. He loves belly rubs too. Maverick is also eligible for the foster to adopt program and Castle of Dreams is offering free training to make Maverick's transition as smooth as can be.
