Union Beach Man Indicted on Hazlet Car Burglary Charges

The 30-year-old allegedly broke into a car and stole over $500 worth of property from the owner.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Union Beach man on theft and burglary charges. Investigators say Michael Rusignuolo, 30, entered a car parked in Hazlet on Jan. 22, 2013 and removed an iPad worth over $500. Rusignuolo was indicted on one count of burglary and one count of theft of movable property, both in the third degree.  An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury voted there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.

Hazlet Woman Indicted on Failure to Register as a Sex Offender Charge

The charge claims that she did not register as a sex offender as required due to a prior conviction.

A Hazlet woman was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury on a single count of fourth degree failure to register as a sex offender after she allegedly failed to reverify her address with local police in 2012. According to the indictment, Cinthya Kodym, 26, was previously convicted of rape of a child, incest and statutory sexual assault in Pennsylvania. As a result of that conviction, she is required to reverify her address on an annual basis, according to the indictment. An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury found there is enough evidence to proceed with a trial.

Keansburg Man Indicted on Murder Charge for Alleged Baseball Bat Attack in Cemetery

Investigators say he beat the victim to death with a baseball bat.

A Keansburg man is charged with murder and other offenses contained in a five-count indictment handed up Monday by a Monmouth County grand jury, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni. Robert Hesse, 34, whose last known address was on Laurel Avenue in Keansburg, is charged with first degree Murder and related third and fourth degree weapons offenses, according to a press release from the Prosecutor's Office. Additionally, he is charged with second and fourth degree counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child by the distribution and possession of child pornography. Hesse is charged with using a baseball bat to beat his victim to death inside a Keansburg cemetery, the Old Truex Burying Ground, on August 8…

West Keansburg Man Indicted on Possession & Distribution Charges

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a West Keansburg man on a total of fourteen drug-related charges.

A West Keansburg man was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury on charges he allegedly sold drugs to an undercover detective in Highlands during July 2012. According to investigators, Vincent Meade, 26, sold both cocaine and marijuana to an undercover detective with the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office on July 12 and July 18. He allegedly did so within 500 feet of Ptak Towers. Ptak Towers is a 95-unit public housing facility 95 units located at 215 Shore Drive in Highlands and is designated specifically to provide affordable housing seniors. Police: Trio Sold Stolen Jewelry in Hazlet, Keansburg & Union Beach

A Monmouth County grand jury voted Wednesday to indict the Matawan men on three charges.

Three Matawan men were indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury Wednesday on charges they knowingly sold stolen jewelry in several Bayshore towns. Investigators say Raymond Semmens, 46, and John Salvatore, 42, received stolen jewelry valued in excess of $500 in Union Beach, Keansburg and Hazlet between Nov. 15 and Dec. 10, 2012.  During the same time period in Keansburg and Hazlet, Semmens and Salvatore allegedly sold the jewelry.  Semmens, Salvatore and Mario Castellano, 47, also of Matawan, allegedly again received stolen jewelry valued in excess of $500 and sold it in Hazlet on Dec. 10. Semmens and Salvatore are facing two counts of receiving stolen property and two counts of fencing. Castellano is facing one count of each. All charges …

Union Beach Man Indicted on Murder Charge After Fatal Keansburg Stabbing

The May 19, 2012 stabbing resulted in the death of Santiago Rodriquez.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted Wednesday to indict a Union Beach man on a first degree murder charge.  Police say Marco Perez-Nery, 21, fatally stabbed Santiago Rodriquez with a six-inch fixed blade knife in Keansburg on May 19, 2012.  Perez-Nery was indicted on three charges, including first degree murder, fourth degree unlawful possession of a weapon and third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury found there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.

Woman Indicted For Alleged Possession, Distribution of Drugs in Hazlet

Police say she sold drugs to an undercover agent.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Staten Island woman on charges she possessed and distributed drugs in Hazlet, according to court documents. Police say Danielle Lamassa, 25, was in possession of oxycodone in Hazlet on May 15 and May 17, 2012. Investigators also allege Lamassa sold the prescription medication to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Lamassa was indicted on a total of five charges, including two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), two counts of possession of a CDS with intent to distribute and one count of distribution of a CDS. Union Beach Man Indicted on Receiving Stolen Property Charge

A Monmouth County grand jury handed up the indictment Tuesday.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Union Beach man on a charge he received property in Hazlet he knew or understood to be stolen.  Police say Matthew Espinal, 22, was in possession of stolen jewelry valued in excess of $500 on Sept. 22, 2012.  An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury voted there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.

Man Indicted on Aggravated Assault Charge in Hazlet

A Monmouth County grand jury handed up the indictment this week.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Howell man on aggravated assault charge.  Investigators say Louis Pulice, 27, assaulted victim with a knife in Hazlet Township on Nov. 16, 2012.  Pulice was indicted on two charges, including third degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Both are third degree crimes.  An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury voted there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.

Keyport Man Indicted on Sexual Assault of a Child Charges

Keyport detectives arrested the man in July 2012 following an investigation conducted in conjunction with the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

A New Jersey grand jury voted to indict a Keyport man on charges he sexual assaulted a minor, according to court documents. Investigators say Pedro Rivera, 33, of Keyport, sexually assaulted a 9-year-old girl in early July 2012 while she was under his care. Rivera was arrested that same month by Keyport detectives Shannon Hyman and Joe Rendina, as the result of an investigation conducted alongside Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Det. Michael Camponella, Chief George Casaletto. Rivera was indicted on a total of four charges, including first degree aggravated sexual assualt, second degree sexual assault and two counts of second degree endangering the welfare of a child.  An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that the jury …
