Grand Jurors Indict Hazlet Residents on Burglary, Theft Charges

Several are formally charged with crimes in recent days.

Monmouth County Grand Juries in Freehold have heard evidence regarding the following crimes and decided those charged should answer for their alleged offenses. Note, an indictment is not a conviction. May 16: Daniel C. Beers, 23, of 23 Briscoe Terrace in Hazlet was indicted on two counts for his alleged involvement in Nov. 6, 2011 burglary, in which $500 worth of items were stolen from a residence, such as a TV, computer, iPods, Xbox, GPS unit, Playstation 3 and controls, and video games. The charges are third degree crimes. May 16: Jason E. Martinsen, 35, of 36 Bethany Road in Hazlet was indicted on one count of theft by deception by allegedly taking property valued more than $500 in Manasquan sometime between Nov. 16-22, 2011, a third …
