Chase Bank was reportedly robbed around 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21.
This story was updated at 12:15 p.m. on Feb. 22 with a photo of the suspect and more information from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Chase Bank in Colts Neck was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Police said a male at 5'11" with brown hair and glasses walked into the bank around 5 p.m. and pointed a gun at the bank teller, demanding money. After receiving the cash, the suspect fled in a dark two-door Infiniti with New York license plates. Police said the car headed south on Route 34, then north on Route 18. On Weichert.com, the most epensive house in Marlboro is listed at $2.39 million. The most expensive in Colts Neck? $12.5 million. That $12.5 million home at 45 Cross Road in Colts Neck has been previously listed for $19 million, then dropped to $15 million before hitting today's price. The Cross Road home made our list of the most expensive homes on the market back in April. The Colts Neck home at Bella Vista Court has been listed at $5.75 million for a few months, and was featured in our October list of the most expensive homes in the market. Walter C. Zimmerer Jr., 94, of Colts Neck, peacefully passed away on Saturday, Sept. 15 at his home on Big Brook Farm, where he had lived with his wife Erma since 1949. Born in 1918 to Walter and Catherine Zimmerer of Nutley, Walter was the eldest of five children and soon followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather in the building of homes. After completing what he called "the college of hard knocks," he married his beloved wife, Erma in 1941. Walter and Erma worked together to build a construction business, Mawal Construction, and proceeded to build hundreds of homes in the Cedar Grove, Bloomfield, and Montclair area throughout the 1940's. The township is preparing to battle if a judge decides the helipad can be constructed at the Colts Neck golf course.
Colts Neck officials are continuing resistance to a proposed helipad at the Trump National Golf Course on Trump National Boulevard. The course applied for a variance in June of 2011 to construct a helipad on the grounds, a move the Zoning Board denied. Golf course officials then went to the New Jersey Department of Transportation, which controls air space in the area. On March 1, township officials received notice that the DOT granted conditional approval for construction. Conditions of the permit include that the helipad only be used by Donald Trump, his family, or a designee, with only 48 non-emergency landings per year. The Trump National Golf Course also appealed the Zoning Board's decision, which is now before a state Superior Court…
