Union Beach Man Indicted on Hazlet Car Burglary Charges

The 30-year-old allegedly broke into a car and stole over $500 worth of property from the owner.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Union Beach man on theft and burglary charges. Investigators say Michael Rusignuolo, 30, entered a car parked in Hazlet on Jan. 22, 2013 and removed an iPad worth over $500. Rusignuolo was indicted on one count of burglary and one count of theft of movable property, both in the third degree.  An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury voted there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.

Hazlet Police: Two Burglars Arrested After Foot Pursuit

The pair are facing burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary charges.

Two Keansburg men were arrested Saturday after they allegedly entered two Hazlet Township homes, according to Police Chief James Broderick At about 12:30 p.m., a man attempted to enter a home on Bunkerhill Road by pushing out a window screen, according to Broderick. The home, however, was occupied, and the resident began shouting and scared the man away.  The resident called police and officers began searching the area.  Shortly after, a resident of Appleton Drive reported seeing a man climb through a window at his neighbor's house. Police: Keansburg Man Burglarized Several Cars Overnight at Village Green

Police caught the individual as he tried to catch a cab off of Clark Street.

A Keansburg man is facing burglary and theft charges after he allegedly broke into several cars parked in the Village Green Condo Complex off of Clark Street in Hazlet overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. The Hazlet Township Police Department received a call from a Village Green resident at about 5:30 a.m. reporting a man seen entering a parked vehicle, according to Chief James Broderick.  The subject, upon being observed by a resident, fled the area. His description was broadcast to police patrols, Broderick said.  Sgt. Ted Wittke was in the area and observed a taxi pulling away from a parked position along Clark Clark Street. Woman Charged with Drug Possession in Hazlet; Burglary in Union Beach

She is facing a total of five drug-related charges in Hazlet as well as burglary and theft charges in Union Beach.

A Monmouth County woman is facing drug and theft charges out of Hazlet and Union Beach after two unrelated incidents, according to court documents.  Lindsay Krieck, 24, identified as both a resident of West Keansburg and Toms River, is facing five total counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance from a March 3 arrest in Hazlet. She is charged with four counts of possession of suboxone and one count of possession of heroine. Bail was set at $1,000 with a ten percent cash option.  Krieck is also facing charges out of the Union Beach Municipal Court that on Feb. 28 she allegedly entered a home and stole personal items belonging to the resident. Holmdel Police Investigating Daytime Burglary

Cash and jewelry were stolen from a home on Chestnut Ridge Road on Friday.

A home on Chestnut Ridge Road was burglarized Friday, according to Holmdel police. The department issued a phone alert bulletin to residents Saturday morning. The thief entered the residence between 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., according to the police. There were no signs of forced entry, but the person may have gotten access into the home through an unlocked rear window, police said. A bedroom was ransacked and an undetermined amount of jewelry and cash was taken. Alleged Smash and Grab Burglars Indicted in July Break-Ins

Kareem Gary, 32, of Elizabeth and Herman Rozier, 46, of Linden were indicted on Thursday in Monmouth County Court.

A Monmouth County grand jury indicted Kareem Gary, 32, of Elizabeth and Herman Rozier, 46, of Linden on Dec. 13 on seven charges stemming from the alleged burglary of businesses in Matawan, Aberdeen and Red Bank. The investigation began in Matawan after the July burglary of Wine Nation, where the front glass window was shattered and cash and cigarettes were stolen. As a result of the Wine Nation burglary investigation, Matawan Det. Joseph Lovallo and Det. Steve Sakowski were able to identify one of the suspects and tracked his whereabouts for ten days, Lt. Matawan PD: Man Stole Copper Wire from JCP&L Substation During Outages

Police say a Cliffwood Beach man removed copper wire from the Wilson Avenue substation during the power outages following Sandy.

A Cliffwood Beach man was arrested Monday on charges that he stole copper wire from the JCP&L substation on Wilson Avenue in Matawan on four separate occasions. Two of the alleged incidents occurred during the power outages following Sandy. Police say that John Wesp, 30, of Raritan Boulevard, entered the substation on Oct. 16, Oct. 25., Nov. 2 and Nov. 4 by cutting a hole in the fence surrounding the property. He allegedly removed over sixty copper stabilizing wires that help ground the electrical poles at the substation, Lt. Ben Smith explained. Each section is estimated to be about eight feet long. Holmdel Police Nab Alleged Jewelry Burglar

Port Monmouth man charged with burglarizing Glenn Way home.

Holmdel Police have arrested a Port Monmouth man in connection to a burglary on Glenn Way in Holmdel, off Holland Road.   Daniel Nadal, 27, of Lakeland Drive was charged with breaking into the house on Wednesday and stealing assorted jewelry valued at over $500.  He was arrested on Thursday following an investigation by Holmdel Township Police Detectives.  Bail was set at $20,000, no ten percent option. On Monday, he was being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold.

Holmdel Police: Burglars Also Hit a House on Timberdale

The crime, discovered today, is likely linked to the burglary of two houses on Dimisa and Round Hill on Saturday, Oct. 13, police say.

Workers reporting to a house on Timberdale Drive in Holmdel this morning contacted Holmdel Police after they discovered the home's front door had been pried open and the house ransacked.  The homeowners have been on vacation since October 12, and have been notified by police about what happened.  "We think it happened the same day as the other ones, on DiMisa and Round Hill," said Lt. Michael Smith. (See report.) An investigation at the scene leads police to believe the intruders left through the rear door. Police: 3 Weekend Burglaries in Holmdel

Two homes, one car reportedly burglarized. Alarm system ripped out at one home.

Holmdel Township police responded to three burglaries that reportedly took place this weekend, according to a press release issued by the department. On Saturday, Oct. 13, two homes in the township were broken into and the bedrooms ransacked, the release stated. Police responded to a Dimisa Drive residence after a home alarm went off. Authorities discovered an open rear door and checked the interior of the home, where they found the bedrooms in disarray. On Monday, Oct. 15, police responded to a Round Hill home after a burglary was reported.
