Today is Martin Luther King Day. Schools are closed and so are township offices. Also, Holmdel High School students have mid terms on Thursday and Friday.
The Hazlet Public Library has Tail Wagin’ Tutors for grades k and up on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 4:15 p.m. and and again at 4:30 p.m. Practice reading aloud to a certified therapy dog who really listens! Bring your favorite book or borrow one of ours. Call 732-264-7164 to register.

Wednesday is the end of the marking period for Hazlet Schools.
The Hazlet Public Library will show “I Am Legend,” starring Will Smith, on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 2 p.m.

The Hazlet Public Library will hold its adult book discussion group on Thursday, Jan. 23, at noon. The book will be “Three Junes,” by Julia Glass.
The Hazlet Land Use Board meets on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 7:30 p.m.
Visit Longstreet Farm on Friday, Jan. 24, at 9 a.m. for a Naturalist Walk in Holmdel Park.
