Scouts Clean Up Litter on Holmdel's Middletown Road

Selfless volunteers removed litter along a busy, winding country road on Saturday.

Holmdel's Earth Day Festival will be held at Bayonet Farm on April 29, and the sides of the Middletown Road have lots of litter.

To the rescue came the Boy Scouts of Troop 331 who were camping at the Farm this weekend, and their leaders John Guadargno and John Migliazza.

Armed with orange vests, grabbers and orange bags, provided by Holmdel’s Clean Community Program, the scouts cleared the litter from the sides of the road on Saturday.

Thank you Scouts, the Earth Day Committee is very grateful for your help.

And Holmdel drivers, the next time you see signs for Litter Cleanups, PLEASE slow down.  The volunteers are only trying to keep our town beautiful!
