Holmdel Athletes Team Up for 'Huddle to Fight Hunger' Effort

The Holmdel Football Association showed heart for the community. An announcement from the Cheer team's Keri Todisco.

The Holmdel Football Association athletes, cheerleaders and parents took their charity work to a whole new level this year, by getting involved with the Kraft Huddle To Fight Hunger initiative in the month of September.

Not only did the Holmdel Football Association raise $1,000 and over 200 pounds of food to be donated to the Food Bank of Monmouth County, they also volunteered at Saint Mark's soup kitchen in Keansburg.

Organized by Cheer Commissioner Nicole Armellino and Keri Todisco and headed up by Cheer Coaches Kimberley LaMountain and MaryAnn Savetierri, the Association was able to run the soup kitchen three consecutive Thursdays by providing homemade meals made by the athletes, as well as physically serving those in need.

The athletes, cheerleaders and families of the Holmdel Football Association are a true testament to reaching out to those in need in our community and getting the job done!
