Girl Scouts Deliver Help to the First Aid

Troop #26 makes a very special delivery at the station house on Crawfords Corner Road. By Marianne Davis.

On Oct 11, Holmdel Girl Scout Troop #26 joined the Holmdel First Aid Squad at their monthly meeting to present the volunteers with a donation of $100 from the money they made selling cookies.

In addition, troop leaders Marianne Rosenstrach and Maria Ivanis were so taken by the girls’ generosity, they both decided to match the donation for a grand total of $300!

All of the girls were very excited to meet with the volunteers and make the donation.

Alexandra Emma presented the check while Victoria Whittle and Shayna Rosenstrach spoke on behalf of the troop.

Victoria said “You always help people with injuries and pain. Everyone is grateful for your help.”

Shayna added “We would like to give you this donation of $100.00 and our troop leaders are matching that also. Thank you for giving help to people who really need it most. We appreciate all that you do, so a big thank you from Holmdel Brownie troop 26.”

The check was happily accepted by President Mike Nikolis and Chief Lynn Davis who were very appreciative and explained that donations and fundraisers are extremely important in keeping the department running smoothly.

The donations are used for things like medical supplies and repairs for the ambulances, and protective gear to keep the volunteers safe.
