Manalapan Soccer Tourney: Great Showing for U-10 Holmdel Broncos

Broncos participate in a huge regional soccer tournament over the weekend.

This past Memorial Day weekend, the U-10  (under 10 years old) Holmdel Broncos team played in the 25th Annual Manalapan Soccer Tournament and won three of their four games.

This was a great accomplishment, considering it was the team's first time playing on the "big field" and also the fact that they played a year up, competing only against U-11 soccer teams at the tournament. They played in the U-11 Boys Red Group.

Coached by Eric Hinds, who is also a Holmdel Township Committeeman, the boys came in second place and only one goal separated them from coming home with the first place trophy.

Of the winning weekend, Coach Hinds said,  "I am so proud of the way are boys continue to learn how to play soccer. Results are great, but we are learning and growing with the right soccer IQ."

The Broncos belong to the Holmdel Soccer Club. They participate in the MAPS league. They were one of several Holmdel teams participating in the annual Manalapan tournament. For the results, see their website here.
