YMCA Offers Summer Arts Institutes

Children ages 2 ½ to 15 have the opportunity to express themselves creatively and explore the fine arts through the Y’s Summer Arts Institutes.  Camps are held during the month of July at the Y’s Child Achievement Center, 745 Poole Avenue, Hazlet.

The Y’s Summer Arts Institutes feature something for every young artist with activities ranging from Fashion Design and Clay & Sculpture, to Technology and Culinary Arts. The Y’s Culinary Institute was named one of Hulafrog’s top 10 camps for 2012. New this year is Puppet Masters, Recycled Arts, The Art of Dance and Aviation.

“Our camps are designed to help children learn, grow and discover the exciting world of fine arts, with opportunities for every interest,” said Stacey Lastella, Vice President of Camping & Outreach at The Community YMCA.
