Holmdel District Schools Gear Up To Compete in “Battle of the Faculties”

Holmdel schools and HFEE sponsoring "Battle of the Faculties", a night of fun and laughs pitting faculties and staff of district schools against one another in friendly competition.

Mark your calendars Holmdel students, parents and neighbors! On Tuesday, May 21 at 6:30 P.M. the faculties of all the Holmdel district schools will be battling it out in the high school gym for the coveted “Faculty Cup”, and bragging rights as the faculty with the mostest (grammatical irony intended; besides, it is hard to find a rhyme for “faculty”).

All proceeds will benefit the Holmdel Foundation For Educational Excellence (HFEE) and the Holmdel District schools’ efforts to support the Foundation’s goal of fully funding their gift initiative this year, the Performing Arts Center (PAC) 21st Century Stage Enhancements. This ambitious project will upgrade needed lighting elements to the high school stage which is home to many artistic, musical, and creative performances and assemblies throughout the year.

Competing teams will be comprised of teachers and staff from the four Holmdel Schools:  Village, Indian Hill, William R. Satz, and Holmdel High. The stands will be filled with students and families who will be rooting for their team, their school, to come out on top. Events will range from tug o' war to a dance off, from an obstacle course to free throw shooting, from relay races to a trivia competition, all of which will test the mettle (and weary old bones) of our district teachers and staffs. It will be a night filled with laughs, cheers and, most importantly, with our community coming out to support a good cause.

We look forward to seeing everyone on May 21!
