Sheriff Shaun Golden Returns to St. John Vianney to Talk to Students

County Sheriff Shaun Golden graduated from St. John Vianney in 1985.

Students in  St. John Vianney's AP Government class got a visit April 11 from Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden, a graduate from SJV's Class of 1985 

Golden spoke to students in Michael Alosco’s AP Government class about law enforcement.

Golden was appointed in January to oversee a 598-member agency which consists of three divisions: law enforcement, communications and corrections. In his prior work, he served as Undersheriff overseeing the regional 911 Communications Center, and was a police officer for 18 years with Colts Neck and Toms River.  He is a certified EMT and former volunteer firefighter.

On February 5, 2011 Golden was inducted into the SJV Hall of Honor. He is remembered as being a popular students and Lancers football player who played all four years.
